If you don t have any styrofoam try out different materials in place of the styrofoam.
To make a rubber band car start by inserting 2 dowels through a cardboard tube 1 at each end for the axles on your car.
1 wooden skewer the thinner the better 1 rubber band.
Attach a large paper clip to the end of the rubber band chain and drop it down into the tube.
Turn the rear axle several times to wind the rubber band around it set the car on a smooth hard surface and let go.
Wrap the rubber band around the rear axle.

Loop one end on the hook at the front of the car and loop the other end over the catch on the rear axle.

If your wheels are smooth you might need more traction for the car to operate properly.
Usually 5 14 rubber bands is long enough but it varies they might need to take one away or add one.
Next wrap 2 rubber bands around each cd to make an x shape and attach the cds to the car by sliding the wooden spools onto the dowels.
